Repeat Prescriptions

Please hand in or post repeat prescription requests to the reception having clearly marked the items required.

Please be considerate and do not ask for repeat prescriptions during valuable consultation time with the doctor.

Practices across North West London no longer routinely prescribe medicines which are available to buy over the counter in pharmacies, supermarkets or other shops. If the medicine you need today can be bought without a prescription, we may ask if you are willing to buy it.

Your local NHS spent £13 million last year on medicines and products that can easily be bought in community pharmacies, supermarkets or other high street shops. By buying some of these medicines and products rather
than getting them on prescription you are helping your NHS save money. So if the medicine you need can be bought without a prescription, we may ask if you are willing to buy it. Your local community pharmacist can advise on medicines that are available to buy. 

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Prescription request
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
